Narrative Description of Project:Empowering the Farmer Producers, Processors and Traders in Effective Marketing and Market Linkage Outlets

Description of Actual services Provided by our Staff:
· Conducted mobilization meetings to 12 villages (716 people) in 4 wards to 2 identified Focal Areas.
· Organized and formed 26 farmer producer and processors groups of between 20 to 30 members with a total of 688 members.
· Conducted problem identification techniques through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques to 512 group members (producers and traders).
· Identified the farmer producers and traders in SWOT Analysis.
· Conducted Training Needs Assessment (TNA) to the group members (418).
· Trained 458 group members (producers and traders) in leadership skills.
· Trained 534 group members in business awareness skills.
· Conducted market chain study to the farmer producers, processors, and service providers,
· Designed and produced training manuals in leadership skills and business awareness.
· Facilitated Market and Financial Linkage.
· Providing advisory support services to the producers, processors and traders.
· Facilitation of farmer group association registration.
· Facilitated the preparation of group improved Action Plans per each of 26 groups.
· Monitoring and reporting to the Programme Coordinating Unit (PCU) at Headquarters Arusha) and Zone office Mbeya).
